Safety Culture
The promotion of a
'safety culture' within the shipping industry has been identified by IMO as a key
priority. As a contribution to the ongoing 'safety
culture' discussion, ISF has produced a leaflet with the assistance of experts
from different sectors of the industry.
The development of a safety culture does not lend itself to prescriptive rules, and the purpose of the leaflet is simply to encourage key people in shipping to consider what more might be done to improve levels of maritime safety.
