ISF WATCHKEEPER VERSION 2.0

ISF Watchkeeper is a computer software package – for use on board ships - for maintaining records of seafarers’ hours of work and rest, allowing ships and their crews to demonstrate compliance with complex international work hour rules. Watchkeeper complies with the ILO Maritime Labour Convention 2006.

What does Watchkeeper do?

  • Allows individual work hour records to be maintained, to demonstrate compliance with international rules to flag and port state control inspectors.

  • Permits individual record forms to be printed off, pre-completed with calculated totals, following the official IMO/ILO format.

  • Checks compliance, using new forward planning facility, with the wide variety of different work hour regimes permitted by ILO, as well as STCW 95, OPA 90 and (as permitted by ILO) hours agreed in collective bargaining agreements.

  • Using ISF's expert understanding of international regulations, checks compliance with complex rules, difficult to calculate manually, including effective use of so called "2 day derogation rule" needed for flexible working while ensuring compliance.

Other features include:

  • Regular "default schedule" so that printed record can be generated without the need to record hours on daily basis.

  • Production of Official IMO/ILO Schedule of Shipboard Working Hours (for posting on board), as required by IMO/ILO rules, that automatically cross refers to the "default schedule", assisting Port State Control inspection.

  • Option to create overtime records.

  • Range of data export functions - MS Word, Excel and Snapshot.

A network version of Watchkeeper 2.0 is also available:

An additional product, IT Energy ISF Watchkeeper 2.0 Server, enables multi-user operation of Watchkeeper. This allows ISF Watchkeeper 2.0 to be deployed to a number of networked PCs, permitting users to:

  • Delegate the task of maintaining work hour records, without the need to give open access to a single machine.

  • View all records from a number of different locations around the ship, as all users may access the same database.

  • Automatically back up Watchkeeper data.
